Juno Practise Edit

h

You are editing your own footage, how did the filming go?
I thought that the filming went reasonably well, considering we managed to film the whole video within the given hour. One of the clips I used didn't go to plan as the Sun unintentionally glared the image a little  but we didn't have enough time to redo the shot so we stuck with the original glared clip and made do with it.

Was your storyboard accurate?

The storyboard was reasonably accurate compared to the Juno video I created.

What were your strengths and weaknesses in the group?
I think that the strengths in the group was that we managed to get things done quickly in regards to the filming of the project, the creating of the storyboard etc. However I think that we could've filmed one or two shots for each clip to make sure it was as similar to the actual video as it could potentially be.

Did you get all the footage you wanted?
Yes we managed to get the footage needed to produce the video in relation to the storyboard.

What technical skills - camera and premiere - did you learn?

The software I used to edit my footage was Adobe Premiere, i managed to pick up a few new techniques and technical skills whilst using it to make my video that little bit better. For example I worked out how to use the video transitions in between each clip, the effect 'Slide' came in handy when editing as it was similar to what was used in the original Juno video. I also used video effects such as 'Equalise' which made the video have a more cartoony feel to it which made it feel similar to the original Juno also.

How does it compare to the original?

I think it that my final piece came out reasonably well. Each camera angle used in my Juno piece seems to be roughly the same as the original Juno which is good as it gives a realer feel. However, to improve, I think that the timings in some areas of the video could have been altered to fit the original better, given more time I would have edited or re filmed some clips to make sure the timings were more accurate.
